The only acceptable bagel in Tel Aviv. Yup. There. I said it.

Okay now that that’s off my chest, I can actually tell you about it! I sound like a broken record when I say “hidden in the cavities of Florentin.” But it is. And not many people know about Bendod! It is my duty to spread knowledge about an establishment with a novelty as such, coming from a New York bagel snob.

As if you’re sitting in your family home, the environment is welcoming with the vintage interior decor. What better setting to devour a dense Jewish delight? The fresh inventory ranges from cinnamon raison to whole wheat. My order typically consists of their complete deal (Israeli tomatoes with cream cheese, lettuce and an egg-cheddar omelette) on an everything bagel. Needless to say, this can cure all hangovers.
